The sentences do not waste a single motion
I have read this four times now, first at fifteen and most recently for our January discussion, and it keeps changing on me. What struck me this time was how quietly Woolf moves between minds — one thought hands you to the next without warning. Clarissa's party and Septimus's morning belong to the same single day, and the book never lets you forget it.
